China Joins in G20 Global Crackdown on Tax Avoidance and Evasion
On 21 August 2013, OECD announces that China has agreed to join in the group of more than 50 developed and developing countries, including all G20 members, which are signatories to the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters. Through the Convention, China will participate in global efforts to combat tax avoidance and evasion by co-operating with other states in the assessment and collection of taxes.
The signing ceremony will begin at 10:00 on Tuesday 27 August. OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría and the Chinese Tax Commissioner, WANG Jun, will give a short statement.
