The Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau (FSTB) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) continue to strengthen Hong Kong’s virtual asset (VA) regulatory framework under the ASPIRe roadmap (ASPIRe: Access, Safeguards, Products, Infrastructure, Relationships).

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) of Hong Kong recently organized a delegation to conduct a business study trip to Beijing. The 27^th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium was held in Beijing, China on 20 September 2024, during which a Roundtable Forum on the Promotion of Trade and Logistics Cooperation was held. Mr. Roger Kam, as committee member of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, shared his insights in the forum.

Mr. Roger Kam, Chairman of our Group, accompanied a delegation led by Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, on an eight-day visit to Kuwait on May 6, 2023. Mr. Roger Kam participated in the talks and exchange activities, which provided an important opportunity and platform for our Group to expand our cooperation with the Kuwaiti market.

The Comprehensive Avoidance of Double Taxation Arrangement (CDTA) with Macao signed in November 2019 has entered into force after the completion of the relevant approval procedures. The CDTA will be in effect in Hong Kong in respect of taxes on income derived for any year of assessment beginning on or after April 1, 2021, a Government spokesman said today (August 20).

Our Group continued visiting Xi’an with Hong Kong Trade Development Council (“HKTDC”) after finishing the journey in Chongqing from 27 to 29 March 2019 and met and discussed with quite a few enterprises locally during the visit.

The 22nd Beijing-HK Economic Cooperation Symposium was held in Beijing on October 24th and 25th.  Our Managing Partner, Mr. Roger Kam who is also the Director of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, was invited to attend the Signing Ceremony on October 25th.
