Mr. Roger Kam, Chairman of our Group, joined the delegation of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in a meeting with the Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Gong Zheng
The Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Gong Zheng, met with a delegation led by Dr. Jonathan Choi, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, on June 3, 2023. Mr. Roger Kam, the Chairman of our Group, joined the meeting as a member of the delegation.
During the meeting, Mayor Mr. Gong Zheng briefed the delegation on Shanghai's development and future plans, in particular the city's efforts to strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong. He said that Shanghai would continue to deepen its economic and trade cooperation with Hong Kong, promote exchanges and cooperation between the two places in the fields of finance, technology and culture, and make greater contributions to the development and prosperity of both places.
Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi spoke highly of Shanghai's economic, cultural and educational development, and said that the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce would continue to actively promote cooperation between Hong Kong and Shanghai and expand cooperation and exchanges between the two places in areas such as finance, trade and investment.
This meeting has built a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the two cities, enhanced friendship and cooperation between the two places, and provided more opportunities and business partners for our Group’s future development in Shanghai. We will continue to pay attention to the development of the two cities, actively participate in the cooperation between them and contribute to their mutual development.
